Source: Allen did not meet with UH Coach Tom Herman Sunday

Contrary to a report by a local Houston radio station, former Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen did not meet with University of Houston Coach Tom Herman on Sunday in Houston.

The radio station report cited a source as saying Allen, who received his release from the Aggies last week, met with Herman and at least one other member of his staff to explore transfer opportunities.

Sources told FOX 26 the meeting did not take place and that the information in the report is not accurate.

Allen played in 10 games for the Aggies in 2015, starting the first seven and the final two.

He was considered the likely starter for the Aggies against Louisville in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

Per NCAA rules the University of Houston cannot comment in situations like this and Allen cannot be reached for comment.
