KATY, Texas (FOX 26) - The Katy Tigers defeated the Austin Lake Travis Cavaliers Saturday night to win the school's eighth state championship title.
This was the Tigers' 4th consecutive trip to the state title game, and their first Class 6A Division 2 State Championship title.
The final score was 34-7 at NRG Stadium to cap the Tigers' perfect season.
The Katy community supported the team to their final game Friday night in a community pep rally.
