HOUSTON - For the first time since 2011, the Manvel Mavericks are in the state championship game. Manvel beat Angleton 35-10 to claim its second trip to state in school history.
The Mavericks scored 28 unanswered points in the first half to break open a 7-7 game, and never relinquished control.
Manvel will face Highland Park next Friday (12/22) at 7PM for the 5A, Division-1 state crown.
