HBU basketball off to a quick start in conference play

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston Baptist basketball is becoming a force to be reckoned with.

The Huskies are currently one of three Southland Conference teams with an unbeaten 7-0 record. This is especially impressive when considering the previous two seasons for HBU men's basketball, when the team was 2-16 in 2013-14 and then 7-11 last season.

Obviously, there has been progress.

FOX 26 caught up with head coach Ron Cottrell and leading scorer Anthony Odunsi, a former Travis High School star who started off his collegiate career at Utah.
