The future is now!

The search for alien life is well underway. NASA’s planet-hunting satellite “TESS” is set to launch Wednesday.

Private-owned SpaceX will provide the launch vehicle and launch pad. TESS was supposed to launch Monday night, but they're conducting more navigation control analysis.

Once she's up, TESS will hunt for planets outside our solar system that might support life.

TESS is the heir apparent to the Kepler Space Telescope, which is running out of fuel.

The future is now!

It’s a future where emails can self-destruct. Google will be rolling out that feature to Gmail soon, among a number of new privacy options.

"Confidential mode" will let you set an expiration date on a message you send. Time runs out? Poof. Gone from the other person's inbox.

Sounds like the only way they'll have a record is if they screenshot it or print it out. Even when they still have it, they won't be able to forward it to unauthorized viewers. Even authorized viewers have to go through two-step authentication using a one-time code that gets texted to them.

Let's get a blast from the past. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Sega Genesis, or mega-drive as it was known around the world, Sega is releasing a mini version.

It's similar to Nintendo’s mini NES consoles. It’s pre-loaded with games and super transportable.

It'll be released sometime this year in Japan and then come to the US and elsewhere.

The original Sega Genesis was released in 1988, featuring the one and only “Sonic the Hedgehog.”
