HOUSTON (FOX 26) - The family of the late Kemah Police Chief Chris Reed is filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Maersk.
Reed and his wife were on their fishing boat on June 7 when they came across a container ship traveling at full speed. As they tried to pass behind it, they were hit by the wake, throwing Chris overboard.
His wife tried to throw him a line, but another of the ship's wakes hit Chris and he went under.
