A man died after being held in a chokehold by his teen son near Katy, the sheriff’s office says.

What we know:

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, deputies responded to the 21400 block of Sangrantio Court – in a neighborhood near Clay Road and SH 99 – for a report of a family disturbance.

When deputies arrived, they found a man being held in a chokehold by his teen son, the sheriff says.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he died.
