HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston's Harvey hero Jeff Lindner is saving the day once again.
The meteorologist for the Harris County Flood Control District seemed to barely sleep during the storm as he provided us with constant updates. As you probably remember, fans started a Gofundme page to buy him a vacation. It raised more than $20,000. Lindner turned it, into a Harvey relief fund.
“Yesterday I just went into a subdivision, it was Concord Bridge, and the first street I turned down, I got out, I went up to the door and I knocked, and I gave money away. And those people were unbelievably grateful. And it’s not me, it’s all of you all that have given money. That’s who they’re grateful to,” Lindner said.
He says a lot of families impacted by flooding need financial help right now.
