HOUSTON - Police say a young boy who was found in a car seat in Southeast Houston has been identified.
Authorities released a photo of the boy on Thursday in hopes that someone could help to identify the child, who was believed to be between the ages of six months to a year old.
Police say the child was found around 6:30 a.m. Thursday in a car seat wearing a white and blue striped shirt and blue pants.

On Friday, police said the child had been identified and was placed in CPS custody. No additional information was released, but police say the investigation is ongoing.
