Houston shooting: Man found dead, another injured at southeast Houston apartment complex

In southeast Houston, a shooting on Sunday night left one man dead and another hospitalized, according to Houston police.

The owner of a taco truck flagged down police to tell them they believed something was wrong with the people inside a Nissan Versa, said Lieutenant Horelica.

Double shooting on Telephone Road

What we know:

The Houston Police Department and the Houston Fire Department responded to a shooting at an apartment complex located at 6727 Telephone Road around 11:30 p.m.

Two men were found inside the Nissan in the middle of the complex, officials said.

Police say the 37-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. The driver, 20, was taken to a nearby trauma center with gunshot wounds where he is expected to survive.

An investigation determined unknown suspects shot at the Nissan from inside a black SYV and drove off eastbound on Drouet Street.

What we don't know:

Houston police are unaware of any possible suspect descriptions.
