HOUSTON - Authorities are on the scene after a woman was shot on a Houston METRO bus on Monday afternoon, officials said.

According to Houston police, the shooting occurred near the intersection of 610 Loop and Cullen.

Houston METRO said preliminary information indicates the incident was an escalated domestic dispute.
METRO officials stated the suspect appeared to be a male.
Authorities said the woman's injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. She was taken to Ben Taub Hospital.
