Houston-area man arrested for thousands of AI-generated child pornography

HOUSTON - A Houston-area man was arrested after detectives found what they describe as thousands of images of AI-generated child pornography at his home, according to authorities.

What we know:

Alexander Bigelow, 29, is charged as part of an ongoing investigation by Constable Precinct One’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. 

According to a release, a search warrant was executed on Bigelow's home in Humble when detectives found a computer and a hard drive each containing thousands of AI-generated images of child pornography, according to a court record. 

The release stated Bigelow also faces three second-degree felonies of possession of computer-generated pornography of children under ten years of age. Each of those charges carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and fine of up to $10,000. He's also charged with a state-jail felony of invasive visual recording of a bathroom or changing room, for using a camera disguised as a charger to covertly record a bedroom other than his own, a court record stated.

Possession of obscene material appearing to depict a child, regardless of whether the depiction was created by artificial intelligence, is a crime under a Texas law created in 2025.
