In an update on Saturday, county authorities said they received a tip about the equipment.

Officials with the sheriff's office and the Texas City Police Department watched over a Texas City home, then stopped a person that was seen leaving the home. The person allegedly admitted that the stolen equipment was in the home.

Law enforcement surrounded the home and called for everyone inside to exit. After getting a search warrant for the home, deputies reportedly found the missing rifle and vest along with other stolen items, including another gun.

A minor was reportedly found to be in connection to the stolen property and taken into custody.
