DPS trooper injured in shooting in northeast Harris County

A DPS trooper has been injured in a shooting in northeast Harris County.

The shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. on North Vista Drive. The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office is assisting DPS in the investigation.

Authorities say the trooper was shot in the hand and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Three people have been arrested. Our sources say a suspect was shot, but we do not have details on their condition.

The investigation remains active.
