HOUSTON - The I-45 Gulf Freeway has reopened in Downtown Houston after a lost load snarled traffic Tuesday morning.
What we know:
The incident was reported shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway at San Jacinto. All but one southbound lane was closed. At least one northbound lane was also blocked for a time.
A large slab was lying across the lanes, and emergency vehicles responded to the scene. The slab was removed, and the roadway opened a few hours after the initial shutdown.
