Deputy jumps in trunk to avoid being hit by truck

SPOKANE VALLEY, Washington (FOX 26) - A sheriff's deputy in Spokane County, Washington narrowly avoided getting hit by a truck, by jumping into the trunk of his car.

The deputy was laying out spike strips on Interstate 90 during a high speed chase, when the suspect's white truck came down the highway. Video shows the truck swerve around the deputy's car, narrowly avoiding the deputy, as the deputy jumped in the trunk of his car.

The suspect was caught and faces multiple charges.
