Deadly crash on I-69 in Downtown Houston involving 18-wheeler, car

A 19-year-old man died and two other people, including a child, were taken to the hospital after a Downtown Houston crash early Tuesday morning.

What we know:

The crash occurred around 3 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the I-69 Eastex Freeway at the I-10 exit.

According to police, a tan Cadillac CT4 was traveling northbound on I-69, entered the I-10 ramp and then struck the concrete divider.

Police say the car then went into oncoming traffic and struck an 18-wheeler.

The driver of the Cadillac – a 19-year-old man – was ejected from the car and died at the scene, police say.

His passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl, were taken to the hospital. They were last reported to be in stable condition. 

No other injuries were reported.

What we don't know:

No one involved in the crash has been identified.
