You saw it First On Fox, daycare workers fired because of a video they posted on social media of a sick baby in their care.  Now that daycare is shutting down.

The mother of the baby in the video says she took her complaints about Little Jackets Nest daycare in Alvin to social media because an administrator didn’t tell her about the video.  Since then, Little Jackets owner Lisa Hues says she has been getting death threats and feels it could be dangerous to keep the daycare open.

It started with 18- and 20-year-old daycare workers posting a video.  In it they’re laughing and putting a soiled, sick baby on display while saying the 6-month-old child has cured their baby fever.  After the video, social media erupted with not only opinions but the owner of Little Jackets Nest daycare began getting threats.

Parents began pulling their kids out, some because of the video, others for fear of their babies' safety and Hues decided she has to close her doors.

“It’s sad.  My heart is so heavy,” says Ashley Stanton, whose baby has attended Little Jackets for two-and-a-half years.

Ten workers are losing their jobs, owner Lisa Hues is losing her dream and what are dozens of parents going to do now?

“I have no idea.  We’re having trouble finding openings, finding a price that fits in our budget because I’m a full time student and we’re only going off my husband’s income and we have two kids.  It’s very stressful,” Stanton explains.

The video was posted Thursday.  Former Little Jackets Worker Natalia Galvan says she felt the daycare wasn’t taking it seriously because the 18-year-old in the video is the daughter of one of the daycare’s assistant directors.

“It was pretty disgusting, not from the baby’s point of view but from the teacher’s point of view because it was like why are you doing this? This is stupid,” says Galvan.

So on Sunday, Galvan told the baby’s mom about the video.  The daycare owner says when she found out about the video Monday she fired the girls who had already been written up by an assistant director and the owner contacted the state.

Galvan put in her two weeks notice but says she was told Monday don’t come back. However, the owner says Galvan was not terminated.

“I wanted a chance to say goodbye to my parents,” says Galvan.

Meantime, Stanton says even if she finds an affordable daycare, she says the love her kids received at Little Jackets Nest was priceless and will be missed.

“It’s was like a family.  It was like my family,” says Stanton.
