Police say two drivers are facing DWI charges after two separate crashes at the same scene.

The first crash occurred when a vehicle struck an 18-wheeler that was broken down in the shoulder of the Katy Freeway near Dairy Ashford around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Police say the driver appeared to be intoxicated.

While authorities were working that wreck, police say a second driver who they believe to be impaired crashed into a fire truck that was blocking traffic.

Both drivers are being investigated by DWI investigators.

Police say no firefighters or officers were injured.
