His mission to help families of children with disabilities has earned Houston Texans linebacker Whitney Mercilus a nomination for Walter Payton Man of the Year.
"It's a great, great prestigious honor to have and I can't wait to see what it's all about, for sure. I'm glad the foundation is getting recognition just through this award," Mercilus said on Houston's Morning Show.
