HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Urban American Kitchen on Memorial Drive near South Kirkwood Road on the west side of Houston, returns as a Houston Restaurant Weeks participant in 2017. The annual event benefits the Houston Food Bank.
Chef Jose Garcia shares some of the dishes from the Urban American Kitchen Houston Restaurant Weeks $22 two-course brunch (orange French toast and crab benedict), $20 two-course lunch (urban salad, tamarind salmon, coconut tres leches) and $35 three-course dinner (steak tartare, pan-seared trout, caramel cheesecake).
Urban American Kitchen will donate $5 to the Houston Food Bank from each $35 dinner sold, which allows the Houston Food bank to provide 15 meals. The restaurant will donate $3 from each brunch and lunch sold to the food bank, which will provide 9 meals.
