Houston weather: Heat wave firmly in place over the area

A strong ridge of high pressure will keep Southeast Texas hotter than normal through the rest of the work week. Houston should reach the upper 90s each day, with some spots at times topping out around 100 through the week. The humidity will push heat index values even higher.
