Houston weather: Heat to continue for Wednesday

Strong high pressure will keep rain chances limited through the rest of the week. Afternoon temperatures will hover near 100 inland with low-mid 90s along the coast. Heat index values will reach the 105-110 degree range and more heat advisories are likely. The heat is even worse for other parts of the country like Phoenix where temperatures could soar to near 115. An extreme heat warming remains in place there.
