Mother-son duo running elected offices in North Texas

Texas State Rep. Rhetta Bowers and her son, Rowlett Deputy Mayor Pro Tem John P. Bowers III, are both serving their communities in elected office — one at the state Capitol and the other in the city they have called home for decades.
