Despite growing Hispanic population, there is an extreme lack of public representation

Despite a ballooning Hispanic population, Latinos only make up one percent of the local, state, and federal elected officials across the country. Even in Hispanic majority districts, Latinos don't even come close to running or winning elections at the rates of their white counterparts.
