Rip currents: How to spot one & survive

Eleven people have drowned in less than two weeks along the Gulf Coast. That includes former Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett, who drowned in the waters near Destin, Florida. While officials say rip currents weren?t observed on the day Mallett drowned, rip currents have claim at least 10 recent victims. Rip currents lead to about 80 percent of the rescues for the Galveston Beach Patrol. FOX 26's Chelsea Edwards meets with Chief Peter Davis along the Seawall to discuss warning signs and how to survive being caught in a rip current.
