UPDATE: Plane leaving Houston bound for Turkey diverted due to bomb threat

HOUSTON (FOX26) - UPDATE: All 209 passengers safely disembarked. Irish police investigating the Boeing 777, which was taken to a remote runway

The plane left Houston last night around 9:00 P.M.  Officials have not said whether the flight to Istanbul will resume or if the passengers will be placed on another plane

A Turkish airlines plane,  flight TK 34, leaving Houston bound for Istanbul was diverted to Ireland because of a bomb threat.

Reports say the crew became aware of the threat when a written note was discovered.

The plane has landed safely at Shannon Airport in Ireland
