TEA confirms special accreditation investigation into Houston ISD

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - The Texas Education Agency confirms they have launched a special accreditation investigation into the Houston ISD.

Because this is an open investigation, the TEA would not comment any further.

Governor Greg Abbott recently called the district leadership "a disaster" and called for a state takeover.

Right now, four underperforming schools are at risk of being taken over by the state.
