HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston police say a man who reportedly assaulted his girlfriend at a Greenspoint apartment complex was shot after getting into an altercation with another man who confronted him.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 4:30 a.m. Monday and found a man who had been shot at least once.
Police say the preliminary investigation indicated the man had assaulted his girlfriend and another man confronted him. Police say during the confrontation, someone produced a gun and a shot was fired.
The man who was shot was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. The other man is in custody.
Police are working to determine if any charges will be filed.
