FREEPORT, Texas (FOX 26) - Freeport police have taken a person of interest in custody following the death of a 7-week-old infant.
Antoine Allen Gorman was taken into custody around 3:45 p.m. Friday at an apartment complex in the 12000 block of MLK in Houston.
Gorman is a person of interest in the injury and subsequent death of a two-month old child.
According to police, Gorman left Freeport within a few hours after he left three young children alone in the apartment and fled to the Houston metropolitan area.
Freeport police have three warrants for Gorman's arrest: 3 counts of Abandoning or Endangering a Child. Police say the three warrants each have a $250,000 bond.
Tuesday evening Freeport Police received a call about 7:13 p.m. from the Brazos Villa Apartments located at 850 North Avenue J.
EMS and police arrived finding a 7-week-old infant not breathing. The child was rushed to Brazosport Regional Hospital in Lake Jackson where the child was pronounced deceased.
