LA PORTE, Texas (FOX 26) - The La Porte Police Department is looking for partnerships with citizens and the Home Owners Associations to increase investigative tools in local neighborhoods.
They are assisting with the application process for a City of La Porte Community Cooperation Grants which offers funding up to $5,000 for Neighborhood Projects. Those projects fall under categories such as landscaping, safety, security and recreational equipment.
According to La Porte police, a neighborhood that has taken advantage of program has a camera monitoring vehicle traffic that can potentially help investigators if a crime is reported.
