HOUSTON - Several people were injured Thursday evening after a crash in Southwest Houston that reportedly involved a METRO bus among other vehicles.

What we know:
METRO Police confirmed that they responded to a crash at about 4 p.m. Thursday near Alemeda Road and Beltway 8.
Houston Fire officials said the crash involved four personal vehicles and a bus.
According to METRO officials, one of the private vehicles struck the bus and tried to leave. That driver was taken into Houston Police custody.
Nine people reported injuries. One person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
What we don't know:
The driver in custody has not been identified.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
