Last week, Governor Greg Abbott had some harsh words for the Houston Independent School District.

He called the district leadership "a disaster" and said "their self-centered ineptitude has failed the children they are supposed to educate."

His tweet was in response to a Houston Chronicle opinion article that encouraged people to fight the Texas Education Agency to prevent a state takeover of the district.

On the Factor to discuss this is HISD School Board President Rhonda Skillern-Jones, HISD Board Trustee Dr. Sergio Lira and HISD Board Member Rhonda Adams.
