Dozens of families lose everything in apartment fire

Fire swept through the apartment complex on Northline in north Houston last Saturday.  It left dozens of families without a place to stay. 

While Red Cross stepped in and provided some assistance for the victims, checks ranging from $100 to $300 only go so far.

Those people are still in need, and that's why the Harris County Constable in Precinct 1 is knocking on your door. He believes we're the key to helping our neighbors who are in need right now, people with only temporary shelter.

On the Factor to talk about this desperate need is Constable Alan Rosen, Eric Davis, Kathryn Griffin Grinan, and some families members affected by the fire.
