FOX 26 reporter Olivia Dance shares the update from Houston police on a body found in a creek on the southeast side of town.

A cause of death remains unknown for a man who was found dead in a southeast Houston creek on Wednesday morning.

What we know:

The body was found at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in Plum Creek. Police were called to the scene along Office City Drive, near I-610 and Berkley Street.

Officials say a Hispanic man was found face down in the water. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

At this time, officials say they found no obvious signs of trauma or foul play.

What we don't know:

The man's identity is unknown at this time. Officials at the scene said they believe the man was in his 30s or 40s.

The man's cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.
