Teen drowns after swimming in Lake Conroe Park

HOUSTON (Fox 26) - Montgomery County Lake Patrol say a 17-year-old male drowned in Lake Conroe Park near State Highway 105.

Officials were called to the scene Saturday night to investigate the lake where the teen was seen by witnesses swimming but had disappeared.

Officials say they deployed sonar and the teen was spotted an hour later on the bottom of the lake.

Divers were directed to recover his body and he was later transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for an autopsy.

Police have not identified the teen yet.
