A stabbing outside the Galleria and a joyride ends in a chase and a crash

Overnight in Houston:

A man is dead after he was stabbed outside the Galleria.

Police say the 60-year-old man was stabbed last night, at a bus stop, near the Neiman Marcus store.

He was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Witnesses were able to detain the suspected stabber until police arrived at the scene.

The motive of the stabbing is not known, but police it may have been robbery.

 

A joy ride ended with two teenagers in the hospital.

Around one this morning, police spotted a Cadillac without headlights switched on, off of Westheimer.

An officer tried to pull the driver over, but he kept going.

Police chased the car until Crossview when the driver took a turn too fast and slammed into an electrical power pole.

Both the driver and a front passenger were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

A passenger in the back seat was not hurt and was released to his mother.

The boys in the car are 15 and 16 years old.

Police say the Cadillac belongs to the driver's father
