Investigation underway after deadly shooting in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in southwest Houston just before 7 p.m. Sunday.

It happened at an apartment complex in the 6400 block of Bankside Drive. Police say the victim died from a single gunshot wound to the head. An unidentified caller told police they heard a gunshot then the squeal of a car speeding away.

Police say they are holding one person for questioning but so far they have no suspect.

Police have not released the victim's name.
