Reward offered for information in fatal hit-and-run case

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect responsible for a fatal failure to stop and render aid case.

According to authorities, on October 7 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Taisheonna Kennedy was riding her bicycle northbound on the service road in the 6800 block of E. East Sam Houston Pkwy N. when she was struck from behind by an unknown dark grey vehicle. Deputies say the suspect's vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Kennedy died at the scene.

Deputies say the suspect's vehicle should have damage to the front, right portion of the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (713)222-TIPS. You could receive up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging or arrest of the suspect.
