Teen accused in another teen's shooting death in northwest Houston, officials say

A juvenile has died and another is in custody following a shooting in northwest Houston on Monday afternoon. FOX 26's Leslie DelasBour shares information provided by authorities so far.

A teen has died and another is in custody following a shooting at a northwest Houston apartment complex, according to Harris County authorities.

Northwest Houston: Bammel North Houston shooting

What we know:

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the shooting was reported on Bammel North Houston Road, near Highway 249.

Harris County Sergeant Jason Brown said the call came in at about 2:15 p.m. 

First responders tried to perform CPR on the victim, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim has since been identified as 15-year-old Jacob Gomez.

Teen detained in deadly northwest Houston shooting | Full police report

A 15-year-old was arrested on November 3 after he allegedly shot and killed another teen at an apartment complex. Harris County Sergeant Jason Brown provided information at the scene.

Witnesses allegedly identified a 15-year-old as the shooter. Sgt. Brown says the suspect was detained in an apartment at the scene.

Allegedly, the teen suspect lives "part-time" at the complex. Gomez did not live there, according to the sheriff.

The sheriff also says the teen suspect has been charged with capital murder.

What we don't know:

The suspect has not been identified.

Authorities have not confirmed the motive behind this incident.
