Harvey victims accuse local contractor of defrauding them

"This is truly the contractor from hell," said attorney George Edwards lll.

His name is Pete Vasquez and one of his company names is Construction and Restoration Masters. He seems to have a trail of unhappy customers.

"Mr. Vasquez is routinely taking advantage of Hurricane Harvey victims," Edwards said.

"We were there when our house flooded and we had to be rescued," Christi Thompson said.

After giving Vasquez $34,000 and waiting months, Thompson says she has little to show for it.

"He's just one of those guys that knows how to suck you into his scheme," said Thompson.

"We got somewhere around a foot of water in our house," said Monica Daly.

Daly showed us her home in Pearland. She says this is what Vasquez left her with after seven months and over $120,000.

"You can look at all this stuff that he did wrong at my house and it says 'I was never going to finish this house to start with,'" Daly said.

Vasquez, who has a criminal history that includes a prison stint for drugs, has one lawsuit filed against him and two pending from Daly and Thompson.

Over the phone, we asked Vasquez why he had these three unhappy customers. He denies defrauding anyone and says he plans to give these unhappy customers their money back.
