Fake Presidential candidate Deez Nuts polling well in North Carolina

Presidential candidate Deez Nuts, that's right: Deez Nuts, is polling at near double-digits in some primary states.

He's an independent presidential candidate who is polling in at 9 percent in North Carolina, 8 percent in Minnesota and 7 percent in Iowa, according to a new Public Policy Polling survey.

It turns out, Deez Nuts is actually a 15-year-old boy. The Daily Beast tracked him down, and found out his name is Brady Olson.

He lives on farm in Iowa, and registered Deez Nuts as a candidate with the SEC last month.

That's because anyone can fill out a Form 2 with the SEC, because until you start getting attention and raising money, nobody checks to see if you're a real person.

Despite Deez Nuts not being a real presidential candidate, most North Carolina voters said in the survey that they don’t know how they would respond to his candidacy. 81 percent say they aren’t sure how they feel about Deez Nutz. 13 percent of voters have an unfavorable opinion and just six percent have a favorable opinion of Deez Nutz.

According to the survey, the fake candidate Deez Nuts polls best among voters who call themselves moderates and does the worst with very liberal voters.
