UH has not decided who will be its football coach

College football sources told FOX 26 Sports the University of Houston has not made a decision on who will be the Cougars next head football coach and the job has not been offered to anyone.

Dan Wolken of USA Today reported Thursday morning “Houston has decided on Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin to be its next football coach, pending a Thursday meeting at which school president Renu Khator will have to give the final OK.”

Wolken also reported “it’s possible Houston could backtrack.”

The candidates to become UH’s next head coach continue to be interim coach Todd Orlando, Cougars offensive coordinator Major Applewhite, former LSU coach Les Miles and Kiffin.
