UH football moves up to 18th in polls

The University of Houston continues its climb up the AP football poll.

In the latest polls released on Sunday, Houston is now 18th in the country. This is a climb from 21st last week and 24th the week before.

Tom Herman remains perfect in his first season as head coach of the football program. His Cougars improved to 7-0 on Saturday after beating UCF 59-10.

Houston's next game is on Halloween night, when the Cougars host Vanderbilt of the SEC at TDECU Stadium. The Commodores are coming off a victory over Missouri.

As for the rest of the poll, Clemson made the most notable jump to third after their win over Miami. The most notable drop was Texas A&M falling out of the polls after their loss to Ole Miss on Saturday night. The Aggies are just outside the Top 25 at essentially 26th. Baylor stays second behind Ohio State. TCU drops a spot during their bye week to fifth.
