Texans' Weeks selected for the Pro Bowl

Jon Weeks will join DeAndre Hopkins representing the Houston Texans at this year's NFL Pro Bowl.

This season, Weeks was the Texans' long snapper for field goals, extra points, and punts in every game.  The long snapper position is one chosen by the coaching staff at the Pro Bowl. Green Bay's Mike McCarthy and his Packers coaching staff made the selection on Tuesday. This will be Weeks' first trip to the Pro Bowl, so he was understandably ecstatic when he spoke to FOX 26 after he had heard the good news.

"This is very special," Weeks said. "As a specialist, you don't know how many opportunities you're going to get, especially as a long snapper. So for another team's coaching staff to even consider me, I'm very grateful. I'm incredibly excited and I'm very happy that it worked out."
