Super Bowl LI host committee meets Houston-area business owners

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Abdalla Ahmed is only 22 years old. He's not just a college student, but a business owner in Houston. He works under his mother Didi. Together. side by side, they run operate their transportation company. Cumulatively, they say they have transported more than 20,000 people.

"We have a fleet of sedans, SUVs and limousines and we are very excited to offer our services to the Super Bowl," says Abdalia. He's not alone.

An event at the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum attracted dozens of small business owners on Friday, including Pam, or as she likes  to be called, the car flag lady.

"i produce and manufacture all type of flags, car flags, yard flags, light pole flags," says Pam. "Tell us what you want and we will design it for you."

While Pam is eager to make flags for her customers, she's not ready to make any early predictions on which team's flags will be flying come Super Bowl LI.

One thing proven on Friday is that the Houston area certainly has talent -- from jewelry makers to those who've figured out how to keep us cool in the heat.
