Sources: NFL to announce Philadelphia as host of 2017 NFL Draft

Sources have confirmed to FOX 29 that the NFL will formally announce Philadelphia as the host city for the 2017 NFL Draft.

The announcement is expected to come in a noon press conference Thursday at Mayor Kenney's Office.

The draft was held in Chicago for the past two years, after a lengthy stint at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The three day event, currently only includes the Philadelphia Eagles on days two and three, as the team gave up their first round pick in order to acquire QB Carson Wentz with the #2 overall pick in 2016.
