Rockets ready for showdown with Warriors

- After finishing off the Jazz in five games, the Rockets are now just 4 wins away from a trip to the NBA Finals.

Standing in their way: the defending champion Warriors.

To beat the warriors, the Rockets have to get elite play on both sides of the ball. They can't have a single liability on the floor. That's why having an all-time great in Chris Paulis a necessity. But as great as Paul is, it's not just about him. Guys like PJ Tucker and Luc Mbah a Moute were brought in to team up with Trevor Ariza as guys the Rockets use to defend Kevin Durant. The fact that they can shoot consistently means they can play big minutes. It's critical they continue to do that.

Warriors forward Draymond Green does not appear to be concerned.

“They have made it known that their team is built to beat us," Green said. "That stuff has been said for about a year now. It’s time to play."

Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals is next Monday.
