PEARLAND, Texas (FOX 26) - Running back Darrius Smith scored three touchdowns and gained 189 yards on 29 carries to help lead the Dawson High School Eagles football team to victory over rival Pearland High School Oilers.
The 34-32 win over the Oilers was the seventh game of the Eagles' season.
"I gave it all I had but I couldn't do without my O-line, my other teammates," said Smith in an interview with FOX 26 News. "They did a great job, they gave it all they had. That's all I could ask for."
"This team played with a lot of heart and played tough for four quarters and we ended up on top," said Eagles head coach Eric Wells.
