Forney High School soccer players arrested in hazing investigation

Several members of the Forney High School boys’ soccer team are facing charges in connection with a hazing investigation that allegedly involved sodomizing another player.

The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department said two juvenile students were taken into custody Thursday at school and two others were also detained. All are facing sexual assault charges. Jacob Fisher, 18, has been charged as an adult.

Officials believe there are two victims of the hazing and are trying to determine if anyone else was assaulted.

The arrest warrant affidavit details 10 instances of sodomy involving one of the victims and other players.

The victim told authorities that he was held down and had fingers and pens inserted into his anus through his soccer shorts. The hazing began in Jan. 2017, with the final instance occurring in fall 2017.

The victim said one of the players would grab his arms and pull them behind his back while two others would grab his legs with one hand and insert a finger or pen into him through his soccer shorts. All of the incidents occurred in the locker room at Forney High School or other locker rooms where the team was playing, authorities said.

The victim came forward in January with the hazing allegations.

“The investigation is going to keep going on. They are going to continue talking to students and as people come forward we will interview this people. We just want to make sure everybody who has been victimized gets the help that they need,” Jolie Stewart, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department said.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information or tips is encouraged to call Sgt. Danny Gammon at 972-932-9631. Anonymous tips are also welcome via Kaufman County Crime Stoppers at 877-TIPS-KCC or www.kaufmancountycrimestoppers.org.

Forney ISD released a statement saying it takes the allegations very seriously and is working with the sheriff's office in their investigation.
